Blueberry pickin'

Monday,  we tried out a fun little park on the Applegate river. Daddy and I swam and played in the sand.  There weren't many people there, and we had a great time. We had a picnic there too. I was so sleepy by the time we packed up to head home,  that I was asleep as soon as we left. When I woke up, we played outside for a bit, then headed for a promotional ceremony in Medford for some of daddy's friends. There were 2 fire engines there and day let me sit in one.  We had so much fun at the river,  that we went back on Tuesday.  There are monkey bars and a sand digger at the park too.  I had fun on them until I fell off the monkey bars and my fave went in the sand.  I didn't cry, but I had to go in the river then to rinse off the sand. We had a picnic again, but I made it home for my nap that day. Wednesday morning after breakfast,  mama,  Bella and I all headed to Roseburg to pick blueberries.  Papa and grandma were already there picking when we got there. It was sprinkling rain, but we didn't mind. I ate all of the blueberries that I picked. Between feeding Bella and taking me to the potty a couple times,  mama didn't get as many berries as she hoped.  So papa and grandma let us take all of the ones they picked too.  Blueberries are my favorite fruit. We spent the night at papa and grandma's, and I played with my cousins on Thursday morning. Papa,  Kenzi and mama all went to pick some raspberries while we stayed and played.  We headed home at nap time and I was asleep immediately.

Bella
I had fun watching my daddy and brother play in the river.  There was lots to see there, and I gave mama some smiles.  I slept through the ceremony in mama's arms.  We watched Jace jump off of the monkey bars and relaxed in the shade. Mama put me in her front pack to pick blueberries,  but after I ate she moved me to the car seat and stroller.  While Jace napped,  mama and I went to the hospital to visit her friends. I was full of smiles and even cooed a little. Next we went to Costco shopping and I got a lot of attention from other shoppers.  Mama visited with lots of people she knew, and I was quiet as a mouse. When we got back to the house,  I got lots of snuggles from papa and grandma. On Thursday, while mama was picking raspberries I stayed and snuggled with Shea.

Daddy took Wednesday off of work so that mama could go to the Dr about not feeling well. Thursday mama's friend Kim and her little girl Brinley came to visit. I showed her my sandbox and we rode cars and bikes down the sidewalk. After lunch, I showed her my room and even tried to read her a book before my nap. They brought us a really yummy dinner, so mama didn't have to cook. Friday after breakfast, mama Bella and I went for a walk with miss Kristy, and her sons Zane and Lucas. We walked to a huge playground where I went down a big slide, climbed a big wall, played on monkey bars and swings. Mama packed me a lunch, and I ate in the jeep on our way to an rv resort that grandma, papa and my cousins were staying. I feel asleep on the way, and was so excited to see them when I woke up. There was an indoor pool there, and we swam all afternoon. I wore water wings, and loved jumping off of the side with nobody catching me. While grandma made dinner and mama fed Bella, papa took us to the playground there. Mama read us a story before we headed home, and I had lots of fun with my cousins. Saturday was a laid back morning, and we went to one of daddy's co-workers house for a bbq in the afternoon. There were slip and slides and a kiddy pool there. My friend Maren was there, and we had fun playing together too.

 

Bella
I had fun watching the boys play at the playground, I was wide awake the whole time. When we got to the resort where papa and grandma were, papa snuggled me for quite awhile, I took a big nap in his arms while everyone else was in the swimming pool. I did wake up to watch my crazy brother jump in and splash the water. Grandma and my cousins held me and I cooed at them. I was tired on the way home and cried a lot. Jace tried singing and I just wanted to sleep. I was awake for the entire bbq that daddy and mama took me to on Saturday. There were so many people to see and hear, including miss Tami and Maren who both held me.

Mama, miss Tami, Maren and I all went for a walk on Wednesday. We walked to a campground where the sprinklers were on and Marin and I stripped our clothes off and played in a puddle that one of the sprinklers made. We had so much fun, we didn't want to leave. I played in the sprinklers in the back yard too. I helped daddy put the lid on the wood box, and we picked more strawberries out of the garden. On Friday, we went to the park where there was a bounce house with a slide, I had so much fun. I also liked climbing on the monkey bars. Saturday, I went to Medford with daddy to get a new pellet grill for father's day. I was a really good boy so we went for a four-wheeler ride when we got home and we bbq'd salmon for dinner (it was delicious). Sunday was father's day, I gave daddy his card that I drew in, and we all went for a hike behind the house. After nap we went  to the Rogers' house for dinner. I played in Maren's pool, sandbox and had fun playing with her in the yard with our daddys. Mama didn't feel very good on Monday, so I was a big helper with Bella and we read a lot of books and played with puzzles inside.

Bella
Mama carries me in a front pack for a walks, and I fall right to sleep because I'm snuggled in close. I'm beginning to be more verbal, cooing and an occasional smile when someone is holding me. I also love snuggling with my big brother, he is very entertaining for me. I had my two week checkup at the Dr on Tuesday and I weighed in at 8lbs5oz, a whole pound over my birth weight! Everything checked out good and Iwas wide awake for the entire appointment. I'm beginning to enjoy my baths a little more these days, and mama doesn't have to wake me up to feed me at night, I wake up on my own.

A successful week!

Daddy went back to work on Saturday, and grandma came to spend the day with us. We had fun blowing bubbles outside and racing cars and bikes down the sidewalk. In the afternoon, we played in the sprinkler and picked the ripe strawberries out of the garden. I didn't share any of them, they were delicious! Sunday was another good day at home, the Rogers brought us another yummy dinner and they joined us for dinner. Maren and I played very well together and the dad's took us on four-wheeler rides after dinner. Mama, Bella and I headed to Roseburg on Monday after daddy left for work. First we went to mama's work to see all of her friends. Miss Joanie was the first person we saw, I was happy to see her, but when we went to the break room and there were lots of people in there, I needed mama close by my side. Mama gave me some yogurt and I was a happy camper. I gave miss Joanie and Lynette yogurt kisses. Next we went to papa and grandma's for lunch. Wyatt and Shea were there, and we had fun swinging and playing before we ate lunch. After lunch, we headed home. I was asleep before we hit the freeway! Tuesday was a very special day, it was the one week mark of pooping on the potty with no accidents. We headed to Medford to meet daddy after work to go get a toy of my choice. We went to toys r us and I picked out a big garbage Tonka truck. I couldn't wait to get home to play with it.

Bella
I'm beginning to enjoy my baths a little more, and love just staring at whoever is holding me. I eat about every couple of hours during the day and mama wakes me up every 4 hours at night. I am a very easy going baby for my daddy and mama. Whenever I am sad, Jace comes next to me and gives me smooches on my head or sings me a song to make me feel better. When I'm eating, he brings books to mama to have her read until I'm done.

Bampa and Lala come to visit!

Wednesday, we played outside after nap until Bampa and Lala came. They brought me a fun little bug dome to put the bugs that I catch in. Another family from the gym brought us dinner, and I was playing outside in my underoos and cowboy boots. After dinner, Lala gave me a bath. I had another successful day with no potty accidents. Thursday, bampa and daddy finished painting the playroom upstairs from my room, while Lala, mama and I played outside. Bampa bbq'd for dinner, and I ate dinner outside. I got a big cookie for another potty success, then Lala gave me a bath. Friday, bampa and Lala had to leave, and we called my cousin Grace and sang her happy birthday. We had a relaxing day, we had a family nap and daddy gave me a ride on the four-wheeler.

Bella
I loved snuggling with my Lala when she got here. My umbilical cord fell off, so I got my first bath on Wednesday night. I didn't really like it too much because I hate being cold. Mama is still waking me up in the night to feed me. I am wide awake for about an hour twice a day, and someone is usually holding me during that time. I love the sound of my big brother playing and having fun, I can't wait to play with him. I have an occasional smile, and look in the direction of the familiar voices that I hear. I am happiest when I am swaddled in a soft blanket and mama tucks me in "snug as a bug in a rug".

 

 

 

 

Getting settled at home!

I like to sing to Bella when she cries and I am a big helper to mama. I like to hand her the wipes when she changes her diaper. Mama spent most of Friday with Bella and I spent the day with daddy. We went for a four wheeler ride and played in my sandbox. We had lots of visitors on Saturday. Uncle Nick, aunt Lori, Kenzi, Shea, Wyatt, Grandma, Papa, Miss Tami and Maren all came to see Bella and to play with me too.  Papa and grandma stayed in their trailer on Saturday night and then headed home with their trailer on Sunday morning. We have lots of friends planning to bring us dinner from the gym and the fire department. I am enjoying having daddy home from work for a while. Miss Tami and Maren brought us dinner on Monday and had dinner with us. Maren and I played outside until dinner. Tuesday morning we headed to Medford to get our pictures taken at Penny's. Then we headed to Toys r us to get cousin Grace a birthday present and mama a few things. Daddy took me down the toy truck aisle and told me that if I pooped on the potty for a whole week that I can have any one that I want. I pooped on the potty that afternoon:)

Bella
My big brother Jace gave me permission to write in this blog, and I just want to say that I am so glad to finally meet him. When he came to the hospital to see me, everywhere that I heard his familiar voice, I would move my eyes and turn my head in his direction. I love to snuggle with my daddy and mama too. I love to sleep and that is what I do most of the time even if my big brother is loud. Daddy and mama heard me really cry hard for the first time on Friday when they took me to the Dr and they took all my clothes off. I hate to be cold! I met lots of friends and family over the weekend, and snuggled with most of them. I was wide awake for my pictures on Tuesday, and am making life on daddy and mama pretty easy. Mama still has to wake me up in the middle of the night to eat, but then I just go right back to sleep.
