Out with the old, in with 2021!

With Daddy home a couple of weeks for his calf to heal, we started to clean out the closets, toys, games and most of the house. We had a huge load to take to the dump and a huge load to take to salvation army. It felt good to get rid of all that stuff. COVID numbers are up in GP, so we have to do distant learning for a few weeks. Our internet isn't great, so there were some issues, but I liked getting all my work done before lunch. Then we played in the treehouse while daddy put siding on it that he milled. We burned lots of brush piles, Bella and I helped pick up sticks to throw in the fire and then roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. Lala came down a couple of days while daddy and mama worked. She helped us with online school and then played outside having boat races down the driveway ditches. I still go to wrestling practice a couple times a week and go to ninja kour on Wednesdays. We went to a bonfire at Kyle's house one evening. We had soup, cornbread and played with lots of other kids that came. I threw an ax at a target he set up and got a bullseye on my second throw! It finally snowed at the end of the month and we went sledding and built a couple of snowmen. The last weekend in January, we drove to Winston and met papa and grandma to go to the coast. We ran on the windy beach, found shells rocks and had so much fun. We also went crabbing, but only caught a couple of small ones. We are doing a push up challenge this month, so mama and I got our push ups done on the dock while we waited to pull up the crab nets. We had yummy fish tacos and ice cream for lunch. It was cold but such a fun day! 

Bella

I loved having daddy home for a couple of weeks. I helped with hauling in firewood and burning brush. I even tried to build my own fire by the creek, but it was too wet. We had a fire that mama built for us and we ate dinner down there. I tried on Aven's point shoes and she gave me a ballet lesson when we went to her house to play. Distance learning is going well, I even got a post card from Mrs Lomica in the mail. I enjoyed time with Lala and helped mama make pizzas. I was so excited to play in the snow and build a snowman. Our trip to the beach was the best. It was super windy and almost blew me over, but I still had so much fun!
