One Sunday at breakfast, daddy and mama told us we were going on an adventure in the woods. Bella wanted to pack a tent, but I thought we should pack some wood and build a Treehouse to sleep in. We still read Bernstein bears books every night and it makes me want a Treehouse:) we drove for about an hour to get there, but Bella and I were too excited to take a nap. When we parked, we walked through a bunch of trees and we looked up and they all had Treehouses in them. I was so excited, I wanted to go look inside, that is when daddy told us we were sleeping in one that night! We went zip lining first and sometimes we were very high in the trees. I had so much fun and couldn't wait to see our Treehouse. We stayed in one called the Swiss Family Robinson and Bella and I had our own little house with bunk beds to sleep in. We unpacked and then played on the Tarzan swing and went to the pond that they called the pool. The water was cold but it was beautiful out there with Apple trees and horse pastures with beautiful horses. We packed burgers to bbq and Bella and I played Jenga while they cooked. Daddy built a fire in the community fire pit and we roasted marshmallows and had smores for dessert. I fell out of the top bunk in the middle of the night and landed on a wooden chair. Mama heard the ruckus and came to our little house to pick me up. I had a small cut on my head, but I was still half asleep. She carried me up to their Treehouse for the rest of the night. Bella was already up there, so we all ended up in daddy and mama's room before morning. Mama told me the next morning that there was a whole family of raccoons in our Treehouse before I fell out of bed. None of us got very much sleep. We had breakfast there and then headed back to grants pass to take me to school. My friends wanted to know why I was late to school and when I told them the whole story, they didn't believe me! That Friday the opera came to school and we were supposed to dress in our fanciest clothes. We also had an assembly that day and I was awarded student of the month! Daddy and mama already knew, so they were there to congratulate me. My buddy Quinton came over after school to play that day and we had a great time!
Bella
I was so excited when we got to the Treehouse hotel, and couldn't wait to see the one we were sleeping in. I wasn't quite big enough to go on the big zip lines, so I sat at the bottom and watched and took pictures with mama's phone. There was a small zip line that I was able to go on and a really fun tire swing too. I was so excited to sleep in a bunk with just Jace that I didn't go to sleep right away, I talked to him a lot. Daddy moved me up into their room before they went to bed. I slept pretty good until Jace joined us and then we were all awake. I had a yummy muffin and cereal and fruit for breakfast. I even got a t-shirt with the Treehouse on it! We had so much fun, I can't wait to go back when I'm big enough to ride the zip lines. I was so proud of Jace for getting student of the month, and after we went to his assembly, we went to story time with Maddox and even had a picnic in the park. I had fun zip lining with Jace and Quinton after school too.
