Fair Time Is Fun Time!

Jace
Mama worked Monday and we stayed home with daddy.  We went to workout and played outside. Tuesday we went to workout then babies and wobblers class at the library. Wednesday mama's workout then kinder gym for Bella and I. After nap Bella and I helped mama pick all of the ripe veggies out of the garden. She made a huge pot of spaghetti sauce with all of the veggies we picked and it was delicious. She has been making a lot of pesto to put in the freezer with all of the basil we have been picking. Mama worked again on Thursday so we went to grandma's and played with my friends.  On Friday daddy and mama took us to the fair.  We walked through all of the barns and saw pigs,  goats,  cows and even got to pet some of them. Then we went on some rides. I went down a giant slide and raced mama,  then went on some truck rides and a dragon roller coaster. I had lots of fun and want to go again next year to ride the bigger rides:) Saturday morning we went to the Greenway to practice biking without my training wheels and it went fantastic!  I learned to use my brakes and pedaled really hard to make it up most of the hills by myself. Daddy and mama were so proud of me. Bella clapped for me too. We keep checking every day for eggs, but the chickens aren't laying yet. I tried to show Bella how to ride my old tricycle,  but her legs can't reach the pedals yet, so I gave her a ride on the back! We have been playing so well together lately, mama has been able to do lots of chores around the house;)

Bella
I had fun this week playing with Jace and at the gym. I like to ride in the scooters at kinder gym especially when mama pulls me. I have been sitting on the potty before bath, but don't quite understand yet. My 1 year molars are starting to come through and it is very painful.  When we go to the garden I say papapapa which means please,  and Jace and mama feed me strawberries and cherry tomatoes.  I liked seeing all of the animals at the fair,  especially the baby pigs.  I enjoyed petting them all and even sat on a steer. I was able to ride on the carousel with daddy, but I didn't like it too much. I cheered for Jace when he rode his bike on the Greenway, and it was fun when daddy ran and pushed me in the stroller.  I rode on the back of his trike, but didn't really trust him very much! On Monday when mama sat me on the potty, I had a big poop! Jace did the happy dance for me and mama did a lot of clapping and gave me a treat.

Camping Crusaders!

Jace
We went to workout Thursday morning before packing the truck and heading to the beach for a camping trip. Uncle Josh, auntie Shell, Lane and Hayes were already there when we got to the campground in Bandon. We got the truck unloaded just before uncle Nick, auntie Lori, Kenzi, Shea and Wyatt got there. We set our tent up in their spot and papa and grandma came too and they were in the next site over. I had fun playing in the dirt with all of my cousins while daddy and mama got everything situated. We went to the Wagner's site for dinner and had yummy pulled pork and hot dogs. We all rode bikes until it was time for bed. There was a thunder and lightning storm the first night and the rain woke me up a couple of times, but the tent kept us dry. The next morning there were lots of puddles to jump in and it even rained some more after breakfast. The camp had a boat building project, so the boys and I went to build a boat. We used hammers and sticks and strings, I even put a barrel on my boat. When we got back to our camp site, we explored behind camp and found a bunch of salamanders,  then played in mud puddles until lunch. Mama took me for a shower before nap. We all had good naps (even mama) and the guys all went to the docks to go crabbing. We rode bikes and went on an adventure behind camp with daddy while mama went to town to get fish for dinner.  We had yummy fish tacos and salsa from our garden for dinner and a s'more for dessert! We slept well and after a huge breakfast, we all headed to the beach. It was a beautiful day on the beach. I little wind,  but back by the rocks it was hot. I played in the water, ran through the rock tunnels and helped build a sand castle. Auntie Lori and my cousins and I all played a fun game of Cowboys and Indians that was really fun too. We had a picnic lunch before heading back to camp for a nap. It took me a really long time to fall asleep and everyone else came back to camp before I fell asleep. The guys went to the dock to catch more crab and the girls stayed at camp and played cards while us kids all slept. We all played games and rode our bikes until dinner. I had daddy take my training wheels off of my bike. I crashed a few times, but I did pretty well.  We had chicken, corn and Watermelon for dinner and then we rode our bikes a bit longer. We showered before bed and papa and grandma got us all glow sticks,  so I hung mine by my bed! The guys all went out in a boat the next morning and caught a bunch of crab to take home. I helped mama pack up our stuff and also went for a walk around the campground with grandma. We found a trail that lead to the beach so mama put Bella in the front pack and grandma, mama,  Bella and I all walked to the beach. It was a long walk and there were a couple of bridges that we pretended there were trolls under. Grandma and I scared them away before mama and Bella went across. I rode my bike some more before packing it into the truck to go home. We gave hugs to everyone and daddy said we could stop for ice cream on the way home, but I fell asleep before we got there. We ended up stopping in Canyonville for an ice cream cone that was really yummy. I told daddy and mama on the way home that I want to go camping again because I had so much fun!

Bella
I slept the entire way to the campground, so I was a happy girl when we got there. I ate a bunch of Watermelon and loved going on stroller rides around the campground. I woke everyone up in camp pretty early the next morning. We stayed in the tent for a while waiting for the rain to stop. I stayed at camp under cover with grandma and auntie Lori while mama and auntie shell took the boys to build a boat. I enjoyed watching them all splash in the mud puddles, but I didn't join in the fun. Daddy let me walk a loop around the campground with him and that was even more fun than the stroller. One of our trips around somebody gave me a balloon, I thought that was pretty special. My favorite part of the weekend was going to the beach and playing in the sand. Lane and Hayes brought lots of trucks and toys to play with and I even sat on one in the sand. When I started to get tired I threw a little fit and threw myself in the sand, so daddy took me for a time out walk and used his ears as handles. After a big nap, I was ready for a big snack. The girls were drinking basil lemon drops so I sucked on one of the lemon slices after they squeezed the juice out. While the kids all played games, I climbed up in the chair with Wyatt all by myself and snuggled him. We had chicken and corn for dinner and I had one in each hand and was not willing to share any with my daddy. Mama and I went to the showers together and the warm water felt good. I took my morning nap on Sunday morning in the front pack while mama walked to the beach. I didn't sleep the entire way home, but I was a good girl!

We Love Peaches!

Jace
Mama got called off of work on Friday, so we went to workout and story time, but daddy had to work. After nap we had to harvest the garden and we picked a bunch. I carried the colander while mama picked green beans, but tripped and dropped a bunch on the ground. I said "I'm sorry mama, I just made the biggest mess I never saw", but she said it happens and I helped her pick them all up. We picked enough peppers and tomatoes to make fresh salsa and picked some lettuce for taco salad. I helped mama make dinner and watched out the window for grandma because I knew she was coming for dinner. She came to spend the night so that mama could go to a crazy peach palooza in Medford. She left way before we got up so she could be first in line to get peaches for 20¢/#. She took my radio flyer wagon and got 111 pounds, and got a flat tire on it. I didn't mind because I love peaches and ate them on my cereal and oatmeal for days. Grandma, mama and I went to Saturday market when she got home. I got some yummy kettle corn and saw some of my friends from the gym there. Grandma helped mama do the ripe peaches during nap, then had to go home after dinner. We went to church Sunday morning and mama did more peaches during nap. I helped her pick some blackberries and we made a blackberry peach crisp for daddy and the guys at the fire station. Mama also made dinner and another crisp for another firefighter and his wife who just had a baby girl. We dropped off their dinner at their house and then went to the fire station to make them dinner. Daddy gave Bella and I a ride on the golf cart there while mama made pizzas. The crisp and ice cream for dessert was super yummy! Workout was fun on Monday and there were lots of kids to play with. Mama worked on Tuesday and I had so much fun playing with my cousins behind papa and grandma's house.  We walked down to the creek, built a fort and played with cars on a door that papa took off of the shed. After mama got off of work we went out for Mexican food. I had tacos (my favorite) and Wyatt and the girls shared some bites of their ice cream with me. We spent the night at grandma's but I slept on the floor because I didn't want to share a bed with mama. Then next morning we went shopping at Costco and had lunch with papa. After nap, we went to meet mama's friend Chelsea and her two little boys. There were lots of snacks there for us and I played nice with all of the babies. After a short visit, we headed home for dinner with daddy. We also needed to pack for our camping trip at the coast the next day.

Bella
I sat on the pillows with the other kids at story time, but faced mama instead. I had a taco for dinner and loved every bite, grandma was impressed. Grandma bathed us and was there when I woke up the next morning. I have been sitting on the potty before bath, but I mostly just like opening the lid and closing it. The peaches mama got were delicious and juicy! I was a good girl at church and at the fire station. Mama took me to the Dr because the bump under my eye won't go away. He wants me to go to a pediatric dermatologist in Portland to have it looked at. I enjoyed sitting on a blanket with grandma and watching all of the kiddos play behind the house. Kenzi and Shea played makeover and I liked chewing on their stuff:) I played a little with Jett and Job but mostly just enjoyed the snacks and said mmmmmmm the entire time I ate. I really liked Chelsea's mom miss Ann, I backed up to her and sat on her lap whenever I wasn't eating. I was excited to see daddy when we got home.
