Happy Father's Day Daddy!

On Saturday night I colored a picture of a bear fishing with his daddy.  I woke up Sunday morning, got the picture and woke daddy up by saying "Happy Father's Day!". He really liked the picture and I helped mama make breakfast before we went to church. After church we got a swimming pool and slip and slide for the house. Daddy even got in it with us!  We had so much fun playing in the pool and jumping off of the side. It has been super hot lately, in the 100s! I had to go to the Dr for my 3 year checkup and I weighed 35 pounds and was 38 inches tall!  I was a good boy and answered all of Dr Marshak 's questions. I drew him a perfect circle and told him that I wanted to be a firefighter when I grow up.  Daddy and mama finished staining the garden fence and put the slider door in the chicken coop.   I have been helping mama pick lots of basil out of the garden to make pesto. I also help her water and the plants ate growing like crazy!   We went to the wildlife safari with grandma this week,  and I had lots of fun with my friends.

I snuggled daddy in bed when I got up and then had fun with his singing father's day card that we got him.  I was a good girl at church and slept on the way home.  I had lots of fun in the pool with daddy and Jace,  but it was super hot when we got out.  I played with a fun toy during Jace's Dr appointment and then played inside when we got home.  Jace and I play together pretty well,  he usually tries to make me laugh.  I love playing in the card table house that mama made me,  and Jace plays with me. Grandma took us to the animal park and she even let me drive!  I liked the picnic the best though:) She also  took us to a fun park that had fun swings and hardly any other kids.

                                                        

Family summer beach adventure!

On Thursday morning I woke up early and was excited to go to the beach.  Mama had the morning planned with some tide pool exploring and a fun 5 mile hike along the shore and through the trees. I was such a big boy and walked the entire way! We walked to the botanical gardens and played lots of games along the way. My favorites were 'I spy with my little eye' and running ahead to hide and scare daddy and Bella!  When we got back to the beach,  we had a snack and played in the sand. We went back to the house for lunch and nap,  then to a different beach close to the sand dunes where we could ride the four wheeler. We played on the beach and ran from the sneaker waves, but one got me and I ended up soaked.  We got back a little late and ate dinner, took a bath and headed to bed. The next morning, I wanted to watch a movie with daddy and mama and Bella went for another hike. We took early naps and headed for the beach again.  Daddy played on the beach with Bella and I,  while mama went fora ride on her for wheeler. She and daddy took turns riding and I even got a turn with mama. We rode down the beach,  popped wheelies and cut donuts.  It was lots of fun but I liked running down the sand and chasing waves with daddy just as much. We were exhausted by the time we got back, so we went right to sleep after bath. Saturday morning Bella and I played while daddy and mama packed.  We hit the beach one more time before heading home. We heard the seals but they were too far way to see. I stayed awake until we got home,  then took a big nap. Mama had to wake me up because my friend Maren came over to play and have dinner with us. We played on the play structure, got in a pool noodle battle and soaked our feet in Bella's water table.

I enjoyed our hike on daddy's back,  but I couldn't quite stay awake. When we got back to the beach,  the sand felt different and I even tasted it,  but it was yucky. I had fun trying to walk in the sand, and laughed a lot when daddy carried me to run from the waves. I liked having Jace sleep in my room, he made me giggle a bunch before I fell asleep. Mama and I went for a big walk and heard and saw a bunch of seals.  I took another nap in the pack,  but enjoyed my time with just mama. I ate a peanut butter and honey sandwich on the beach, which made the sand stick to me like crazy! I try to walk everywhere I go now:) I had fun playing on the swings and in the yard with Maren and Jace when I got up from my nap after we got home.

Mama took us to church on Sunday and daddy had to work.  Bella and I played when we got home and were super silly. Workout and swim on Monday then playing in the yard while daddy and mama did chores.  We are getting lots of strawberries from the garden every day.  The neighbors came by to see how to water and feed the animals because we are going to the beach for a few days. Mama got called off of work on Tuesday and I was super bummed because I wanted to go to the wildlife safari with grandma and my friends.  Mama decided we would go anyways and she could do her shopping for the trip.  That was until I woke up in the middle of the night puking:( Daddy went to work,  but we stayed home.  I was fine the next day but mama didn't want to take me anywhere in case it was contagious.  Since it had been 36 hours and I was eating and feeling fine,  we made it to workout and swim on Wednesday before packing the truck and heading to the coast.  We took mama's four wheeler so she could ride on the dunes while we were there. We did our shopping on the way to the coast and saw grandma at costco.  Bella and I took naps on the way and when we got there,  we had dinner bath and bed. The house we were staying at had a great view and a nice covered patio, but my favorite was the bear skin and elk head on the wall. Bella and I shared a room and I stayed up a little late making her laugh and being silly.

I cried at church when mama left me at the kids care and when she picked me up. I was happy and played while she was gone, (I just wanted her to think that I cried the entire time so she wouldn't leave me again.) After church Jace and I played in the living room before nap. I'm getting braver and braver every day at taking more steps. Mama has been putting fresh strawberries on my pancakes and in my oatmeal,  it is my favorite! I had fun at mama's workout, swim and after nap I watched daddy and mama put the door on the garden shed. Mama had a rough day at home on Tuesday with Jace and I. She even put herself in a time out on the front porch while Jace and I stood at the front door waiting for her to get done:) after lunch mama was at the sink and watched me walk all the way across the living room and into the kitchen without holding on to anything. From that moment on, I walk everywhere now!  Even if I fall,  I stand back up and keep walking. Jace found 3 matching hair ties and told mama to put one on each side and one on top. I looked so silly and mama even took me to get the mail like that. I showed daddy my new moves after swim on Wednesday, then we packed and headed for the coast:)

Grace's birthday party!

The jeep was packed and we left the house early to head to bampa and lala's house.  We stopped in Roseburg at the home depot for the kids workshop. Papa was there with Wyatt,  Kenzi and Shea.  We all built wooden toy trucks. We got aprons with our names and a certificate when we finished building and painting it. I gave hugs to them and we went to Costco to say hi to grandma and get gas before we hit the road again.  Bella and I got hungry around Eugene,  so we had a picnic in the target parking lot. Then we went to the bathroom,  got Grace's birthday present and were back on the road.  Bella got a bit cranky and woke me up from my nap,  but then I kept mama company while Bella napped. I was so excited when we got to lala's.  It was really hot so we played in the pool and on the swing. The next morning we went to the river and went paddle boarding.  I rode on the front with mama paddling and Grace went with auntie Leanne on her board. Lala and Bella stayed on the shore while we went and explored mystery island. There were a few islands we paddled out to and we had a lot of fun. We went back to lala's for lunch and nap and then went out to auntie Leanne and uncle Tyler ' s house for Grace's birthday party.  It was super hot, and there was a slip and slide there that I was on almost the entire time. I had races with a boy named Charlie and mama even threw me down the slide so I could go faster! I had an olaf cake and then we went back to bampa and lala's house for bedtime.  We had to go home the next morning but mama didn't feel well. We left a little later than planned and stayed at uncle Nick and aunt Lori's house because mama worked the next day in Roseburg.  I stayed in the trailer with papa and grandma,  but I didn't sleep very good.  I had lots of fun playing on their trampoline and playing with my friends while mama was at work.  Then back to workout and swim on Wednesday. It was super hero week at the library and I posed for a picture and solved a riddle for a prize after story time.

Bella
I slept on the first leg to Roseburg and was happy to see papa and my cousins at home depot.  Grandma gave us snacks at costco and I gave her big kisses. Mama thought I would nap after our picnic, but I was cranky and cried for a while.  After I woke Jace up, then I napped the rest of the way to lala's.  I ate a big dinner then Lala bathed us before bed. Jace and I slept in the same room, so we talked and sang together before falling asleep.  I napped and played on the shore with Lala,  while mama and Jace were paddle boarding.  I had fun in the swing in bampa and lala yard. I was pretty clingy to mama while we were at Grace's birthday party, but I snuggled bampa and lala too. Jace tried taking me down the slip and slide with him, but I didn't like it!  I made a huge mess with my oatmeal the next morning.  so mama had to give me another bath before we left. I played with my cousins when we got to Roseburg and mama tried having me sleep in her room but that didn't work. Next she put me in another room and I slept better. I cruised around in the walker at uncle Nick and aunt Lori's, I'm not quite ready to walk without holding something.  Mama cut me off of the night time breast feeding which was rough only the first night. I did well in swim this week but was ready for a nap as soon as we finished. Mama took me to the Dr on Thursday because I have had a runny nose and a cough for 3 weeks now. She said it was a sinus infection and gave me some medicine to make it better.
