Movin' and a Groovin'!

Jace
I did well in swim again this week. Mama went to workout on Wednesday and I had fun playing with my friend Lucas at the gym.  My mama and his mama decided to take us to kinder gym and then we went out for brunch. After nap, mama took Bella and I to the park to feed the ducks and geese. Mama got called off of work on Friday,  so we didn't get to spend the day with papa.  Grandma is still in Pennsylvania where there is lots of snow, because Grammy is in the hospital and doesn't feel good.  I rode my four wheeler out the driveway and it was super sunny, then I helped mama make muffins. We had a big day on Saturday. First we went to my friend Maren's house and had a tea party and played on her teeter totter. Then we went home picked up daddy and headed to a birthday party where they had a bounce house with a huge slide.  Daddy and mama kept me awake until we got home,  then after nap we went out for dinner.  It was Manny's girlfriend's birthday,  and I sang to her. She gave me some yummy cheesecake and that helped me stay awake until we got home for bed. Sunday I helped mama make lasagna and homemade rolls to take to the fire station.  We went shopping after nap,  then went to the station to see daddy.  Another firefighter had his family come and there were two little girls that wore me out running at the park.  Chief Sawall made us glove balloons and his wife drew faces on them for us.  It was a fun party:) we made it to mama's workout this morning then played with legos until nap.  Stiles came to visit and ate lunch with me, then we walked to get the mail and went on an adventure behind the house.  I found a hammer that was just my size in the dirt. I brought it home to wash it and hang it up next to daddy's.

Bella
I am moving very quickly these days and getting very strong. I can go from the crawling position to sitting up all by myself. The food mama makes for me is alright,  but I'm still not loving it. Mama is trying to wean me from my nap before bed, but I still really need it. I skipped it yesterday because there was too much going on at the fire station for me to sleep.  One of daddy's co workers fed me my dinner and I gave him lots of smiles. I am a very loud talker and sometimes Jace tells me "that's enough". When he feeds me my breakfast he tells me to be patient,  but I don't know what that means. When mama puts me in the jumperoo,  Jace brings his trampoline next to me, and we jump jump jump together. Today I pulled myself up onto my feet on the trampoline.  Daddy and mama couldn't believe it. I thought it was very funny and was very proud.

Swim Lessons

Last week miss Tami and Maren came over on Monday for dinner and to play. We built blocks together and had so much fun. I shared all of my toys with Maren and Bella, mama was very proud of me!  Tuesday was the first day of swim lessons.  Daddy and mama both came to watch.  My instructors name is Mr Ian, and he holds me up while I kick and try to float.  There are two other kids in my swim class,  but I am the smallest. Everyone loved my robe that lala made me, I wore it while watching mama and Bella in the pool. I had swim again on Thursday,  but daddy and Bella stayed home this time.  I jumped off the side of the pool and told Ian not to catch me. I went under water and pushed off the bottom of the pool, it was fun!  On Friday, Bella and I spent the day with papa while mama went to work.  I was a good boy for papa,  we played with blocks and legos and watched my favorite movie Barnyard. Mama got called back to work during dinner,  so papa had to tuck me into bed too.  We headed home on Saturday morning, and then spent the afternoon with daddy, while mama and miss Tami went to high tea. Mama said they were going to have a relaxing afternoon because miss Tami is going to have a baby boy soon.  Mama took is to church on Sunday.  Bible School was fun and we sang Jesus lives me a new way, it was silly! It was sunny after church, so mama said we could have a lunch outside when we got home. It was a little cold, but we ate our lunch quickly and came inside.  Bella stayed inside with daddy. This morning we went to workout with mama. Miss Corrie taught me a new game called Backfire, and I had a blast playing it! Even though I ate a bowl of cereal before we went, I had eggs and toast with mama when we got home. Daddy made me a yummy smoothie too!  Daddy helped me stack my wooden blocks into a wall and then I ran and jumped over them,  it was a fun game. When I woke up from my nap, I found mama and Bella outside washing the muddy jeep. It was really sunny, and I joined them.  Mama let me use the hose to rinse the soap after she washed. Daddy got home from a bike ride while I was spraying,  and we rode bikes together down the driveway.  Mama tried to get a good picture,  but I decided to look at daddy instead of where I was going and almost hit the tree. I was going pretty fast and when I swerved, I crashed really hard. Good thing I was wearing my new helmet! Then I went up on the hill and helped daddy burn a pile of brush and scrap wood.

Bella
I enjoyed chewing on the blocks that Jace and Maren were playing with. Miss Tami brought me an activity center that I can jump in,  and I love it! Tuesday, I went outside with daddy and mama while they filled the wood box. It was cold but sunny! I didn't like getting in the water at first during my lesson because it was my naptime. But when mama floated me on my back with my head on her shoulder it was very relaxing and I almost fell asleep. We were at the swim place for so long that mama decided to cancel my lesson until after Jace is done with his, and do one at a time. Maybe I won't need my nap before bed by then. Thursday was a rainy day so we played inside. I stayed home with daddy while mama took Jace to swim. I have been drooling a lot and not sleeping as good, so mama thought I might be getting a new tooth. Sure enough she noticed another one popped through while I was at papa's house on Friday. I played in Johnny jump up again and chewed on legos that Jace was playing with. Papa gave me lots of snuggles, but I wasn't happy when he put me to bed. He got me back up and snuggled me until mama got home from work. I enjoyed daddy's snuggles on Saturday and took a good nap for him. I was super smiley and happy at baby bible school. I played and squealed with another baby there, and then fell asleep in one of the lady's arms before mama came to get me. I am very vocal and like to hear myself yell. I did that a bunch while watching Jace and miss Corrie play at the gym. After my nap, mama and I went outside to wash the jeep. I really enjoyed the sunshine and watching mama spray the hose! I made mama's day because I said mamamamama today:)

Now that the busy holidays are over, things have slowed down a bit. I have had lots of time to ride my new four wheeler and play with all of my new toys. It has been pretty cold outside, so I get bundled to go outside to play. One day mama told me to go get warm clothes on to go outside and I put my hat and mittens on and forgot my pants and shirt. Mama said I was a silly goose! I helped daddy and mama get wood to fill the wood box when I needed a break from riding my bike. I spent a couple days at grandma and papa's house while mama worked. One day we went to uncle Nick and aunt Lori's house to jump on their really big trampoline and it was cold, but very fun! We got one of my old toys out of the closet for Bella to play with, we are both having fun with it. Daddy and mama have been working on the playroom for Bella and I. It is all painted and we bought the flooring to put down next. I can't wait until we can go up there to play:) Maren and her daddy came over last week and I let her ride my four wheeler while I rode my bike. We got along very well and that made mama very happy! This morning after breakfast, I helped mama make banana muffins. We had a tea party when they were done.

                                

                                


Bella
I am getting around pretty quickly these days, mostly by army crawling. I try to pull myself up onto things, but not quite strong enough yet. Jace is my continuous entertainment, everything that he does makes me belly laugh. He pulled me around the house on his blanket the other day, I had a death grip and laughed the entire time. I still have a blast in Johnny jump up at grandma's house, and I even crawled though Jace's tunnel at home. I am eating my vegetables much better and got my second flu shot today. I cried only until mama picked me up, then smiled at the nurse before she left the room. Mama bundles me to go outside, but I like the fresh air. Daddy got the flu, but we are all trying to stay healthy. We spent the day with daddy one day last week while mama worked, we had a fun day.
I started sitting in Jace's big high chair at dinner time and I think I am big stuff:)

Trip to The Dalles to see Bampa and Lala!

Jace
When daddy got home on Saturday we all had breakfast and started packing to go to bampa and lala's house for a few days.  Bella and I were very good on the ride there.  We stopped in Roseburg first,  mama and I went in to say hi to grandma and to go to the bathroom while daddy and Bella got gas and let Alli out to pee.  Bella and I napped and I had lots of snacks in the truck. I was excited to get there, but I wasn't hungry for dinner when we arrived. I ate a few bites of enchiladas and beans, then Bella and I took a bath. I stayed up a little later than usual and I slept in my own little bed in the same room as daddy and mama. Bella slept in the pack and play in another room. I woke up daddy and mama at 3am crying because I was throwing up. Mama took me to the bathroom and cleaned me up while daddy cleaned up my bed. I didn't feel good and didn't want to go back in my bed, so mama and I went down to the couch. I snuggled her and fell back to sleep on her. Grace and auntie Leanne were planning to come over but since I was sick, they stayed home and I snuggled with lala and mama. I had a fever off and on all day. Daddy and bampa went to auntie Leanne's house while we napped. I got to watch the movie Frozen for the first time, and I liked it. I didn't eat anything all day, but lala got me some pedialite and I drank that. That night I woke up at 1 am because my eyes hurt, mama said I had a fever, but I didn't want any medicine. She took me down stairs again and she had me drink lots of water whenever I woke up. When everyone else got up, I felt better and was a little more energetic, but not good enough to go play in the snow like we planned:( I had a fever in the afternoon again, but no more stomach bug, so uncle Tyler, auntie Leanne and Grace came over for dinner and to exchange Christmas gifts. Bampa and lala got me swim lessons, a swim suit and a robe that lala made for the pool. I also got a new fire truck hat and gloves, a writing board and book for in the car and the movie Planes with a toy plane for in the bath tub from uncle Tyler, auntie Leanne and Grace. Mama made Grace a play house and Grace and I played in that quite a bit. We watched Frozen again after bath and I went to bed pretty late. We packed up and headed for home the next morning, I was glad to be feeling better. We had another good car ride home, but it was cold when we got home. I helped mama unpack today, and I pretended to cut down trees using daddy's roller. I yelled "timber" every time it fell over. Miss Tami and Maren came over for dinner, and I planned to be nice and share. That made mama happy, except I changed my mind as soon as they got here and we fought quite a bit. Mama says that tomorrow we are starting a new year, but that just sounds silly to me.

Bella
I slept more in the car on the way to bampa and lala's house than I do at home in my own crib. I greeted them with lots of snuggles and smiles when we got there. I had fun splashing at bath time and jumped a bunch in the Johnny jump up. Unlike Jace, I slept for 12 hours every night that I was there. I was super happy when I was awake and even smiled a bunch for some of lala's friends that came over. I showed them my smooth army crawl and ate my veggies when they were disguised with fruit. I was very good in the truck on the way home as well. Maren gave me lots of attention when they came over today, she and Jace even got in a fight over who was going to give me my sippy cup with water and I thought it was funny. I also giggle when I watch Jace jump on his trampoline. Goodbye to 2014!

 

Merry Merry Christmas!

Jace
I woke up at 4:30 and asked mama if Santa came,  she told me yes, but wouldn't let me go see him.  She said he already left,  but I could see what he brought after daddy got home.  We finally went back to sleep around 6 and slept until 7:30, so we only watched the movie for about 45 minutes until daddy got home.  I was so excited to see that Santa brought me the four wheeler that I wanted. Next we opened our stockings. I handed out presents to everyone before opening more of my presents.  I was so excited about every present that I opened. When I opened a toy, I played with it and when I opened a book, I asked mama to read it. I got some fun books, trucks with light up wheels,  my own trampoline,  a new toy shotgun and dinosaur boots. I opened a card with money and took it straight to my room and put it in my piggy bank.  I also got my favorite movie Barnyard and the movie Robin Hood. After we ate yummy apple pancake,  we went outside to ride my four wheeler. I had a lot of fun on it, it even has a horn and plays a couple of songs. I rode it some more after nap and jumped on my trampoline. Daddy and mama took down the Christmas tree because the needles were falling off everywhere and making big messes. Daddy made some yummy ham soup for dinner and we read my new books over and over again before bed. Mama and I also did a puppet show for Bella and she loved it! Papa and grandma came to visit on Friday, and I was excited to show them my new four wheeler and how high I can jump on my trampoline.  Grandma built legos with me and papa played my new games with me. I walked out to get the mail with papa and half way out the driveway I stopped and said " aw sugar baby, I forgot my gun", and I turned around and headed for home. Papa talked me into getting the mail first.

                                      

Bella
Mama fed me at 5 when I woke up but then I went back to sleep until daddy got home from work. Santa brought me a bunch of animal puppets, they make me smile and laugh.  Jace helped me open some of my presents,  but I got some new books, a doll, a stack of rings, some new socks and money. I really liked Jace's trucks that have light up wheels, I crawled across the floor quickly to get them. Jace let me sit on the back of his four wheeler,  and I went outside to watch him ride it.  It was pretty cold,  so mama and I went back inside.  I still gag on all of my vegetables,  but mama started mixing them with applesauce and I eat them that way sometimes.  I got puffs in my stocking,  but I gag on those too.  Mama says I'm way pickier than Jace was;) papa gave me frozen strawberries in my mesh bag and they were tasty. I was wrinkling my nose a bunch and make papa laugh a lot. Grandma put me on the trampoline and I thought it was fun to sit on.
