Piles of Smiles!

 Jace

Daddy put a railing around the balcony of our treehouse and then the day before he left to go elk hunting, he and mama surprised us with a fire pole from the balcony. We saw it when we went to the treehouse to read after school, but couldn't try it out until the next day because the cement wasn't dry. It is so fun, I can climb up and slide down it!  Bella and I raked some leaves to jump in and helped make some energy treats and protein treats for daddy to take hunting. I wondered why we couldn't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving, and mama said that we didn't, we just had to wait until daddy went hunting:) We started decorating that weekend! I also went over to Cohen's house two days to wrestle with him and Tanner. The house is beginning to look a lot like Christmas, we just don't have a tree yet, but we do have a candle that smells like a pine tree to burn until we get one. Papa and grandma came down the day before her knee surgery and spent the night. Mama got to do her surgery and stitch her up. It went great and she and Papa went home a few hours after her surgery. When daddy got home from hunting, he and mama cut up meat and canned some and ground some. We all love elk meat! Miss Audra came to take our family pictures down by the creek for our Christmas card. I helped daddy blow leaves after school one day and due to a spike in Covid cases everything was shutdown for 2 weeks just before Thanksgiving. We made thankful trees at school and wrote kind words to our friends on the leaves. Mrs Pugsley loved my kindness and sent my parents an email.

I raked leaves after school so I could jump in them! I love the railing and the fire pole on our treehouse. I helped make some snacks for daddy too. I did not want him to leave for so long. We stayed busy while he was gone, with decorating, school, going to Cohen's house (I had fun playing with his sister and the kittens) and playdates with the Wieking's. Decorating for Christmas is so much fun, we also got all of the Christmas games and books and blankets out.💕 Papa and Grandma were at our house when we got home from school. We had soup that mama put in the Crock-Pot and Papa took Jace to ninja kour and I stayed home with grandma. I was super sad the next morning because Papa and Grandma already left for the hospital for surgery. I was so excited to see daddy when he got home from hunting. He shaved his pokies off for family pictures and I love snuggling his smooth face. The last day of school before Thanksgiving, we wrote the things we were thankful for and painted. I said I was thankful for my family and my friend Kya wrote that she was thankful for me. 😍

Chills and Thrills!

 Jace

Daddy and I went over to Cohen Archibald's house to wrestle and then fish in the river by his house. We had lots of fun and then we hurried home for pizza with the Garcia's. After yummy pizza, I played corn hole with Mrs Garcia and we went on the zipline a few times too. Our cornhole game was never ending, so we had to call it a tie until next time. School is going great and I go to ninja kour 2 days and wrestling 2 days. It keeps us busy, but I like it that way! Coach Matt and Leslee and all of their kids came over for pizza, zipline and pickle ball. We had a fun afternoon with them. The next day, we went to church and then home to decorate Aven's birthday cake and dress up for her witch party. I decided to be a vampire. We had yummy soup, played lots of games and made potions. It was a beautiful day and we stayed and played until dinner time. I watched part of the CrossFit games with mama and Miss Christie and decided we needed a challenge of running to the top of the hill behind our house with weight in a pack. I had 10 # and mama took 20#. It was a grind, but I beat mama by over a minute. I decided we should do it a couple of times a week to try to beat our time. We had a Halloween party at school, but mama wasn't able to come (Covid rules). I dressed up as a wolf, but wasn't able to wear my scary mask. It was a fun day anyways. They had trick or treating in Rogue River on Friday night, so we went with the Wieking's as usual and it was a blast. Some of the businesses had people in their roofs with tubes shooting candy into our buckets. Then we came back to our house for yummy chili, cornbread and a movie on the patio. Workout the next morning was a dress up one, so mama and Miss Audra dressed up as Rosie the Riveter. I took pics of them after they were done. Then we went up to Uncle's house for a Halloween party. We had a great time and played lots of games. Miss Audra told us about a switch a witch that comes on Halloween night and trades all of your candy for a toy. I decided to do it and it worked, she brought me an eldrador creature that I had been wanting. Way better than candy 😉

I stayed home with mama to help make pizza dough and cut up veggies to have with the Garcia's. Mrs Garcia's husband Jason came too and I had lots of fun playing pickle ball with him. I got a full card of good behavior at school and picked a fun treehouse book out of the treasure box. I also earned a kindness reward because I helped cheer up a few sad girls on the playground. The next weekend the Swanson's came over and Felicity, Maddie and I all played in the treehouse and in my room. They loved my bed and didn't want to leave when it was time. Aven's witch party was so much fun! I think I liked making the witch potions the most. I decided to be little red riding hood for school and trick or treating since Jace was the big bad wolf. Our party at school was fun and trick or treating in Rogue River was the best! "Covid truck or treating is even better than normal!" It was fun having people throw candy and shoot it down a tube into our baskets. Chili was good but the skull cornbread was the best. We watched paranorman on the projector and we laughed so hard! I helped mama make bean dip to take to Uncle's party and we all dressed up as characters from little red riding hood. It was so much fun and the games were my favorite! I decided to put my candy out for the switch a witch too and she traded for a cabbage patch cutie that I love so much.
