Home for the Holidays!🎄

 Jace

Two days before Christmas, daddy was at work and tore his calf muscle. He went to urgent care and they sent him home. We were kind of sad that he got hurt, but that meant he was going to be home for Christmas! He usually works Christmas Eve or Christmas day every year! We went to Christmas Eve church service after making a delicious snowman pizza for dinner. We left cookies out for Santa and sprinkled reindeer food in the front yard. We got up early the next morning and Santa brought me a Nerf ball shooter just like I asked, with 100 extra Nerf  balls. I got lots of goodies in my stocking too. Mama made me a new apron and got me a cookbook and daddy got me a leather case for my knife. Bella picked out a snowball shooter and a taco puzzle, I can't wait for it to snow to use it. I made homemade lego gifts for daddy and mama. I also wanted to make dinner all by myself and I picked the menu a couple days before. I made stuffed shells, Christmas tree pesto bread sticks and a wreath veggie tray with hummus. We made several meals out of our new cookbooks and made special breakfasts for Papa and grandma when they came and spent the night.

Bella

I was so happy to know daddy was going to be home for Christmas. Daddy calls me nurse Bella because I like to get him his ice packs for him and wrap his leg. I'm taking really good care of him. I wore the other Christmas dress mama made for me to church on Christmas Eve and we so excited for Santa to come. We baked molasses cookies and I remembered to say goodbye to Buddy before bed. I got up early and saw that Santa had brought me two of the dolls that I wanted. One in a plaid shirt and the other in a Christmas dress. I was so happy. I got lots of goodies including a stuffed penguin in my stocking. Mama made me an apron and got me a cookbook too. Jace got me two new puzzles and a cabbage patch cutie. Daddy got us all a fan bike for workouts in the house. Jace made a delicious dinner and I tried lots of recipes from my cook book after that. I made Papa and I breakfast when he came down. One night while daddy and Jace went to wrestling, mama made me a blanket fort over my gymnastics bar and we read and played lots of games in there. We also made a snowman craft with the kit that Mr Brian and Miss Cyndi got me for Christmas. Mama hasn't worked since before Christmas either, so we are really enjoying our time home with all four of us 💕

Birthday Wishes and Holiday Kisses!

Lala came to do online school with us while daddy and mama worked. We celebrated her birthday the night she got here by having pizza and cake that Bella and I helped decorate. School went well and we played outside every afternoon with Lala. We had boat races down the driveway ditch and on Wednesday when mama got home we had a zoom call with Santa. We were so excited to see our friends on the zoom call too and we waved to them. When we talked to Santa, it was just Santa on the call though. I told him I wanted a Nerf ball shooter and he told me a story about an elf that blasted him with one of those guns when he went up to the toy making factory. It was really funny and I didn't even ask him any questions because I knew it was the real Santa! He said Buddy or elf had been checking in with him and telling him about us.On Friday morning, Bella and I helped mama make waffles, pancakes and bacon to deliver a birthday breakfast to miss Tami. We surprised them all and had breakfast with them. We played for a bit with Maddox and Maren and had fun! We headed home to get ready for our Grinch party. The Wieking's came over and we colored pictures, played pin the heart on the Grinch and had yummy Grinch pancakes for dinner. We started to watch the Grinch movie while our mamas cleaned up and we changed into our warm Grinch clothes to go see the Christmas lights on Cherry Lane. We watched the rest of the older Grinch movie and walked around the beautifully lit streets. We dropped some new toys in the toy drive barrel and canned food in the good drive barrel. The next morning after daddy got home from work, we headed to Bampa and Lala's house for the weekend. We had delicious chapine for dinner when we got there and Grace and Auntie Leanne and uncle Tyler came toThe next morning, daddy and Bampa milled and moved firewood from the tree they had cut down on the yard. Mama and I started a burpee challenge at the beginning of the month. You add 10 burpees every day until the end of the month. We did 200 of them on Sunday in between building Legos, playing games and building a puzzle. We exchanged Christmas gifts after dinner that evening. Bampa and Lala got us an air track and a Nerf gun with a target. Auntie Leanne, Uncle Tyler and Grace got me a helicopter lego set. We left the next morning after daddy finished milling and stacking the wood. We slept most of the way home and made it home in time to go to gymnastics. 

Bella

I was excited to see Lala and sing happy birthday to her. I helped decorate her cake and stayed home with her while mama took Jace to wrestling practice. School went well and we had fun building a fairy house in a tree stump. I got to talk to the real Santa on a zoom call and I told him I wanted an American girl doll and to be able to fly. I had fun surprising Miss Tami for her birthday and also playing with Maddox and Maren. I was excited to wear my Grinch dress that mama made me for the Grinch party and play with Aven. We exchanged Christmas gifts first and we all got each other the same gifts! Miss Audra and mama got each other serving trays, Jace and Dem got each other eldrador creatures and Aven and I got each other cabbage patch cutie. Miss Audra also made us 2 amazing photo books from our adventure to the cabin at Lake in the Woods. We had yummy Grinch food for dinner and colored Grinch pictures and played games. We wore Grinch pajamas to see the lights, but the Grinch was not out in front of his house probably because of Covid. The next morning we got all packed up to go to Lala's, but I was super sad because I couldn't find Buddy the elf anywhere. When we loaded up in the truck to hit the road, I squealed with excitement when I saw Buddy tucked up in the sunglass compartment of the truck. He came with us and so did Alli dog. I ate lots of bread dipped in the soup and cucumbers, but didn't like the fish in the soup. We had lots of fun playing with Grace. We spent the next morning playing babies, games and Legos with Lala. Grace came in to play again and Auntie Leanne brought yummy ribs and salad for dinner. Then we made a Christmas tree out of a stool and a sheet and some other decorations. We exchanged gifts and I got a cute outfit and painting craft from Auntie Leanne and a new gymnastics suit and a baton to go with the air track from Bampa and Lala. We played and packed the next morning and slept most of the way home. We had a quick bite to eat when we got home and headed to gymnastics.
