Silly kids!

Jace
On Wednesday,  I had a dentist appointment that didn't go very well.  I let the nice lady look in my mouth and brush my teeth, but when the Dr came over I started crying and reached around mama' s neck and wouldn't let go. Mama gave me a pep talk and I was ready to be brave,  but when he came back,  I only could cry again.  He did look in my mouth but I was crying when he did. My teeth got an excellent report,  but maybe I will be less scared next time.  Thursday,  we went for a walk,  and I helped mama pack bags for Bella and I. Mama had to go back to work on Friday,  and we spent the day with aunt Lori and uncle Nick.  Mama woke us up early to go there the next morning, but I was so excited to play with my cousins that I couldn't sleep on the way there. We had a fun morning of playing and I chased their kitty around the house.  Then after nap we went up to their other grandparents' house to swim in the pool. Uncle Nick got in the pool with us and I jumped in head first. I was wearing water wings, but I had no fear of the water and couldn't get enough.  Mama brought pizza for us after work and papa came for dinner.  Then we went to papa's house to spend the night. The next morning, we went to Costco and then headed to Eugene to pick up grandma from the airport.  She was at Grammy and pappy's house for a few weeks, and we wanted to surprise her by coming to get her. She was surprised and happy to see us, I asked her if it was "yummy surprise". We went out for a burger then headed to papa and grandma's.  We packed the Jeep and headed home. When daddy got home from work on Sunday morning,  we all went to church.

Bella
I have been having a lot of tummy time and my neck is getting stronger every day. I have a double chin, and mama is glad that I'm holding up my head so it is easier to clean in my chin roll.  During my awake time I am very smiley and I make lots of cooing noises to try to communicate. Jace loves trying to make me laugh,  and it doesn't take much! I got lots of snuggles from my aunt Lori and uncle Nick when mama went to work.  I didn't mind drinking her milk from a bottle at all, and I enjoyed watching Jace and my cousins play and have fun. I am starting to stay awake longer during the day, and my naps are longer too!

On Sunday,  we went to church then headed home for lunch and a quick nap. Mama had to wake me up so that daddy and I could go float the river with a bunch of friends from the gym. It was my first rafting trip and I was excited!  It was a long float, but I was a good boy. Daddy let me get in the water and swim on the slow spots. Mama met us at the end for the potluck bbq.  I had fun playing with all of the other kids at the park.  Lala was at our house when we got home, and I was excited to see her. It was almost bedtime,  so she gave me a bath, read me some books and tucked me in bed. After breakfast on Monday morning we headed to town to go on a big jet boat ride. On the ride down the river, we went so fast and got really wet! We stopped at a restaurant along the river for lunch. We ate a yummy lunch and I even drank some lemonade!  I talked to the lady that sat next to me (a lot) and she thought I was very cute. I ran all the way down the hill and back to the river after lunch, Lala ran fast to catch me. I threw some rocks in the river before getting back on the boat.  I wanted to sit on Lala' s lap on the ride back, and I got kind of sleepy.  I played at home with Lala after nap and then again the next morning before she headed home. We picked lots of tomatoes out of the garden, and I ate some too. Lala brought me firefighter turn outs just like my daddy wears at work.  I love pretending that my car is a fire truck and that I have to rush to put out a fire:)

Bella
Just like last week,  I slept through church service. After we dropped daddy and Jace off to float the river,  mama and I had the house to ourselves for a couple of hours.  It was so quiet that I couldn't sleep so I watched mama make a salad for the potluck and do some cleaning. On Monday,  mama put me in her front pack for the jet boat ride.  The engine noise put me right to sleep, the only time I stirred was when the boat stopped so they could see the wildlife. I got lots of snuggles from my Lala after we got home. I am full of smiles these days:)

Wednesday morning mama,  Bella and I went grocery shopping for our camping trip.  That afternoon after we got everything packed up we headed for lake of the woods. First daddy built a fire when we got there, then we set up camp.  After the tent was set up, we made my very first s'more! It was delicious.  I got to stay up way past my bedtime, and I woke up as soon as the sun came up. We went for a little walk down to the lake,  and I asked mama if I could get in.  She said no because it was too cold, but I went ahead and got in anyways with all of my clothes on. After my time out, we went back to camp for breakfast.  Later we put swim clothes on and went swimming in the lake.  I got a lot of time outs for throwing rocks at things in camp, so mama and I took an early nap.  After lunch we went on an adventure to the lodge, I rode my bike.  It was a long ways,  so I ended up on the stroller with Bella and daddy carried my bike. After dinner we headed back to the lake to get washed up and take a dip.  The water was warm,  and I swam back and forth to daddy and mama under water. I had another rough night of sleep,  and mama snuggled me to help me go back to sleep. While mama cooked breakfast,  daddy and I headed to the lake to try to catch a fish. We didn't have any luck, but I had fun. I ate some banana bread to satisfy my hunger until breakfast.  After we ate I got a bunch more time outs,  so they strapped me into the stroller so they could start packing up camp. I was so tired that I slept through all of the packing and cleaning. I had a quick snack before heading back home.

Bella
I went on my very first camping trip, and I had fun. I thought it was funny when Jace got in trouble a lot, I smiled really big.  I got a little cranky when I was ready for my naps,  but I slept better than my brother at night. While mama and Jace went to the tent for a nap,  I got to stay down by the lake with daddy for my nap.  I rode in the stroller for all our adventures and I had a net over the top of me to keep the bugs off.

On Thursday evening after daddy and mama worked out,  we went on a road trip. Bella and I slept most of the way there. We went to a hotel and I slept in my own big bed. I was so excited that I didn't really sleep much.  We got up and ate a yummy breakfast and headed to the water park.  There was a kids play area that had water slides and a shallow pool. I had so much fun,  I never took a break! It was 4.5 hours of non stop fun:) daddy even took me to the big pool where there was a slide that landed in the pool and I went in over my head. I fell asleep as soon as daddy buckled my car seat.  Mama woke me up 5 minutes later when we stopped for burgers at in and out.  Then we headed home, and made it just in time for my bedtime.  Saturday we played at the house and Sunday daddy went back to work.  Mama,  Bella and I all went to church.  We played in my pool on Monday and papa came to visit on Tuesday. Papa helped mama wash and wax the Jeep and I got to use the hose to help rinse (until I got them all wet). Later papa got in my pool with me and I had lots of fun going down my slide to splash him.

Bella
I was a very good girl on our trip to the water park, I had a good sleep in the hotel. I mostly slept through the water park,  only waking up to eat once.  Mama sat me up to watch Jace jump in the water,  but I was too sleepy! Mama took me to church on Sunday,  the music at the beginning put me to sleep and I slept through the entire service. After a few good nights of sleep, mama moved me to my own room on Sunday night. I didn't care much for my crib,  so I woke mama up every 3 hours. Daddy fed me a bottle with mama's milk and I drank it down without a problem. I still didn't like my crib on Monday and woke up every couple hours. I got a lot of snuggles from my papa on Tuesday and I gave him lots of smiles. He also fed me a bottle which went well. Mama tried putting me in my bassinet in my own room and I slept great!

Happy 4th of July!

Friday morning we all woke up with colds. Mama had told me the night before that we would go to the fire station to see daddy,  so that was the first thing I talked about in the morning when I woke up. I watched Barney and mama read lots of books.  I think mama was hoping that I would forget about going to see daddy,  but I did not.  After nap we headed to Medford to the fire station, and took some pizza for dinner. Daddy took me to see the fire engine and he even let me drive it around the station sitting on his lap.  He also let me turn on the lights and sirens,  it was so fun! I was also interested in daddy's helmet,  so we saw that too.  Next we all went on an atv ride around the station and I was having so much fun that I didn't even want to go in for pizza. We stayed home for the next 3 days trying to get better. I played with play dough, cooked in my kitchen and played bucking bronco on my rocking horse.  We still had the sniffles on Tuesday,  but we felt better, so mama and I went grocery shopping. Wednesday we went fora walk and I took my toy gun to shoot any coyotes if we saw any. It was super hot, so I played in my pool and in the sprinklers.

Bella
I managed to get a cold too and I felt crummy. I was very fussy on Friday morning,  but was a little better when we went to visit daddy. I liked staying at home for a few days,  it meant that I had lots of snuggle time.  I especially liked watching Jace splash in the pool. I don't mind tummytime and if you smile at me, I will smile back:)
